This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights (GDPR/CCPA-aligned).
What we collect
- Account data: name, email, hashed password, optional bio & location
- Verification data: email + phone hashed for de-duplication; encrypted email used only for transactional sends
- Content: reviews, answers, posts, scam reports you submit
- Activity logs: login attempts, IPs, user-agents (security)
How we use it
For authentication, fraud prevention, content moderation, and to deliver the service. We do not sell data and do not share it with moving companies.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, portability. Use /account/delete to delete or anonymise your account, or email privacy@usamovingadvisor.local.
Retention
Active accounts are retained while in use. Inactive accounts (no login > 3 years) are anonymised. Audit logs are kept 90 days. Backups follow a 30-day rolling schedule.
