USA Moving Advisor publishes independent, evidence-backed information about moving in the United States. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.
Independence
We do not accept payment from moving companies, brokers, or any entity rated on the platform. Our editorial team has no ownership ties to the industry. Disclosures of any unavoidable conflicts are published on the relevant page.
Sourcing
FMCSA data is pulled directly from official sources (SAFER, L&I, NCCDB). Reviews are user-submitted and verified via email and SMS; "Documented" tier requires supporting documents (Bill of Lading, contract, invoice). Editorial assessments cite their sources inline.
Corrections
Substantive edits to published content are versioned with an "Updated" date and a brief note when the change is material (not typos). We do not edit silently.
Right of reply
Companies named in critical reviews or scam alerts may post a public response. We notify them in advance for material allegations.
Editorial board
All material guidance is reviewed by at least one editorial board member with relevant operational, regulatory, or legal experience. Board profiles are public.
